Fully equipped with leather interior, multi-speaker stereo and working air conditioning, it was clocked at 254.76 mph at Ohio's Transportation Research Center on October 26, 1988, then driven back to Callaway's Old Lyme, Connecticut shops on the highway. The 350 cubic inch V8 generates 880 brake horsepower yet is smooth and quiet, breathtakingly fast and sumptuously luxurious. Featured in virtually every major enthusiast magazine worldwide, SledgeHammer has been displayed at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky and most recently at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles.
